(تاريخ أمراء المدينة المنورة) من سلسلة كتب تواريخ المدن، ويومها لاقى إطراءً وإستحساناً من عَلاَّمة الجزيرة العربية المرحوم الشيخ حمد الجاسر حيث وصفه بأنه أفضل كتاب حول تاريخ المدينة بهذا الشمول، والدقة، وقد طبع الكتاب بعد عدة سنوات طبعة ثانية في طهران في دار الإقليم، ونفذت الطبعتان بعد أقل من سنتين، ومن يومها، وأنا أتابع المصادر، والكتب، والمراجع عَلّي أُضيف إلى هؤلاء الأمراء الذين ولوا المدينة المنورة، فلم أستطع زيادة أمير واحد، وهذا يدل على أن العمل كان قد استوفى شَرْطَهُ.
وعندما عزت على إعادة طبع الكتاب، وجدت من المناسب إكمال نسب أمراء المدينة من الحسينيين، والحسنيين الذين تولوا إمرة المدينة وذلك ليستفيد منها عُشَّاق الأنساب.
وكنت قد أصدرت كتاب (التحفة اللطيفة في تاريخ المدينة الشريفة) تأليف السخاوي بمخطوطته الكاملة، بالإشتراك مع الدكتور الأخ خالد الملا السويدي الذي تولى تأمين مخطوطة الكتاب كاملة، ولم أجد في التحفة اللطيفة أي أمير زيادة عما دونته في كتاب تاريخ أمراء المدينة المنورة.
