ولد في كربلاء سنة 1957م، ونشأ بها، وتأثر بالمجالس الحسينية التي كانت تعقد في أرجاء المدينة معجباً بأسلوب الخطيب الكبير الشيخ هادي الكربلائي، وتأثر بالرادود الحسيني المرحوم الحاج حمزة الزغير، ثم أخذ يرتقي المنابر لإلقاء القصائد ويختار الطور المناسب لها، والقصائد التي ينشدها تنقسم إلى قسمين:
الأول: قصائد قديمة لشعراء خدمو المنبر الحسيني كالشيخ كاظم منظور وعبد الكريم أبو محفوظ والسيد عبد الحسين الشرع والشيخ هادي القصاب... وغيرهم.
الثاني: قصائد حديثة لشعراء معاصرين.
وعندما يرى الشاعر الموضوع جديداً ومناسباً للمنبر سواءاً كانت (كعدية أو لطم) فيقوم الرادود بتوزيعها حسب الطور المناسب، ومن حيث المجموع يوجد توافق وتبادل أفكار بين الشاعر والرادود.
