فقد عاش وطنياً مجاهداً، ومات مناضلاً في ساحة العمل القومي فكان حقاً على هذا البلد السوري العربي أن يذكره في حياته ويرثيه بعد مماته كان يذكر ويرثي أبطاله الخالدين ورجاله العاملين لعظيم أثرهم على الوطن والأمة.
لقد عرف الوطن لسعد الله الجابري حقه فلم يقصر في تكريمه وتأبينه، في حياته ومماته وهذا سفر يضم الكلمات والخطب والقصائد والرسائل والبرقيات التي قيلت في حفل التأبين الكبير الذي أقيم للراحل العظيم بتاريخ الخامس من نيسان عام 1948 حيث لم يبق عظيم في بلاد العرب، ولا كبير في ديار الإسلام إلا وشارك في رثاء فقيد الوطن سعد الله الجابري.
إنه سفر يجمع ما قيل في الزعيم الخالد يجد فيه القارئ صفحة مشرقة من صفحات الجهاد في هذا الوطن الذي ازدحمت عليه الخطوب وتناوشته الرزايا من كل حدب وصوب.
