أقول، وألم كذبها يعصرني. حتى أتمنى أن تنشق الأرض وتبتلعني. ولا أقف هذا الموقف في محكمة حكمها جاهز لا يقبل الجدل في قضايا ضرب النساء. وطليقتي التي رفعت عليّ دعوى الضرب والتهديد تعلم إلى أي مصيبة تبعثني وإلي أي قانون أعمى تقودني. فالمحكمة هنا وفي مثل هذه القضايا لا تطلب تفسيرات ودلائل. يكفي أن تبكي المرأة ليذهب الرجل إلى قيود الأحكام. فكيف إذا كانت المرأة من شرقنا المليء بحكايا اضطهاد النساء.
