لما كان النسل هو أحد هذه الضروريات، حرص الإسلام كل الحرص على تدبير الإجراءات والقوانين التي تكفل تمامًا نقاء النسل وسلامته، وهذا لن يمون إلا بما أقرته الحكمة الإلهية العليا من تشريع ينظم العلاقة بين الجنسين تنظيمًا تتحد دائرته مع دائرة العفة والطهارة، وهذا التنظيم أو النظام يتمثل في الزواج الشرعي، الذي يحقق الهدف النبيل والإنساني، المتمثل في بقاء الجنس البشري، يقول تعالى: {والله جعل لكم من أنفسكم أزواجًا وجعل لكم من أزواجكم بنين وحفدة}.
ومن هذا المنطلق كان هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا، وهو يهدف في المقام الأول إلى وضع تصور سليم وشامل عن جريمة الزنا وعواقبها الوخيمة، حتى يستطيع كل ذي قلب وبصيرة أن يحترس منها، بل ويحترس من الطرق الموصلة والمؤدية إليها.
