هذه رسالة لطيفة، تسمى "سباحة الفكر في الجهر بالذكر"، نافعة مفيدة في بابها، ألفها الإمام العلامة المحقق الشيخ محمد عبد الحي اللكنوي الهندي، المولود سنة 1264 من الهجرة، والمتوفي سنة 1304، عن 39 سنة وأربعة أشهر، ونحو مئة وخمسة عشر مؤلفاً، بين رسالة في صفحات، وكتاب ضخم في مجلدات، وفي أهم المباحث وأصعب الموضوعات.
وقد عرف رحمه الله تعالى بالتحقيق والاستيفاء والدقة وعمق البحث والنصفة والاعتدال في كل ما يؤلفه، سواء كان ما يؤلفه في المذهب الحنفي الذي هو إمام من أئمته المتأخرين، أم في غيره من المباحث الفقهية العامة أو الحديثية الشائكة، ولهذا تلقى أهم العلم مؤلفاته بالقبول والثناء والتقدير.
وبالعودة لمتن رسالته هذه نجده قد وزعها على بابين: الباب الأول في حكم الجهر بالذكر، مورداً فيه أقوال أصحابنا الحنفية، محقاً للحق بالأحاديث المروية. والثاني في تحقيق المواضع التي صرحوا بحكم الجهر فيها. أما في المقدمة فذكر حد الجهر والسر وما يتعلق به.
