ما يزال تاريخ السينما في بدايته، وقد كان دائماً مجزّءاً، ولطالما نُظٍرَ إليه استناداً إلى منظومات تصنيفية بسيطة نسبياً، كالانتماء إلى أمة ما، أو إلى مدرسة معيّنة والبحث عن أجناس. ومن خلال هذه التصنيفات الفكريّة تبرز شخصيات محوريّة، المصممون الذين لا حقّ جامعو سيرهم حرفتهم فلما بعد فلم: ونعني بهم الخرجين.
ثمة بدهية طالما أغفلت أو حذفت عن قصد، تقول إن الفلم هو، وسيظلّ عملاً جماعياً. هناك دراسات جامعية حديثة أبرزت كبار المنسيّين من صناعة الفن السابع وهم المنتجون وكتّاب السيناريو، فأعادت تلك الدراسات الحق إلى نصابه، ولذلك فهي تستحق منا تقويمات جديدة.
