يدعو المؤلف في هذا الكتاب إلى الإستشهاد بأخلاق النبي الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم في كل ما سلكه وقام به من أعمال وسلوكيات وتصرفات وقد بدأ المؤلف كتابه بالكلام عن انقطاع الاجتهاد المطلق الذى تدعية بالباطل فرقه الوهابية ومن أعجبه شانهم من جهلة المبتدعين شذاذ المذاهب الأربعة الإسلامية ثم يتكلم عن مشروعية السفر إلى زيارة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ومشروعية الاستغاثة به أو بغيره من الأنبياء وينقل لنا ما أفنى به العلماء والفقهاء في هذا الباب وما نقل عن أكابر العلماء من أئمة المذاهب الأربعة ونقل حكايات وآثار وردت عن العلماء والصالحين في الفوائد التى حصلت لهم من الاستعانة بسيد المرسلين صلى الله عليه وسلم ودعوات اكابر الأولياء في أحزابهم في الاستعانة بالنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
