هذه جملة من النعم والأخلاق التي تفضل بها الله تعالى على المؤلف وقد كان الباعث على تأليفها ورقمها في هذه الطروس أموراً: ليقتدي به الآخرون, فيتخلقوا بها, ويشكروا الله تعالى على ذلك. دوام شكر الله تعالى بعد موت المؤلف مدة بقاء الكتاب, إعلام أهل عصره بدرجته في العلم والعمل ليقتدوا به في حفظ كتب الشريعة, الاستغناء عن فحص مناقب المؤلف والتتبع لها وربما زاد أو نقص, الاقتداء بالسلف الصالح, وقد رتب المؤلف الكتاب على مقدمة وستة عشر باباً وخاتمة. وضمن كل باب منه جملة صالحة من الأخلاق الحسنة, والنعم الجميلة بحسب الوارد, وفيه تقديم لفهرسة الأبواب والخاتمة ليكون ذلك أهون في الكشف على من يريد الاطلاع على خلق من الأخلاق, أو نعمة من النعم, فينظر أولاً فهرست الباب لينظر مظنة تلك المنة أو ذلك الخلق, هل هو في أوائل الباب أو وسطه أو آخره( والله في عون العبد ما دام العبد في عون أخيه).
