اعتمد المؤلفان في هذا الكتاب على الرواية الإسرائيلية التي تبرز عمليات الأجهزة الأمنية التي يقوم عليها الكيان الصهيوني والتي تقصد الى تضخيم النجاحات الإرهابية لهذه الأجهزة، وإخراجها أسطورياً أمام الرأي العام، ومع ذلك فهي لم تستطع إخفاء الكثير من الفشل على الساحات الفلسطينية والعربية والدولية.
غطى الكتاب فترة تأسيس أجهزة الاستخبارات في الثلاثينيات، مروراً بحروب إسرائيل العدوانية ضد العرب. كما أشار الى العلاقة التجسسية بين فرنسا وإسرائيل خلال حرب التحرير الجزائرية والتي شكلت القاعدة للتحالف العسكري بينهما أثناء العدوان الثلاثي على مصر عام1956، وبداية العلاقات الاستخباراتية الإسرائيلية- الأمريكية.
وفي الكتاب دعوة للقارىء الواعي الى إجراء الفرز الصحيح وكشف تزوير إسرائيل لتاريخها المثير للجدل والمبني على الأساطير وطمس الحقائق والتعمية عليها.
