لقد ظل النقد العربي مجالاً خصباً لقضايا عديدة، تناولها الكثير من النقاد والباحثين، ومن بينها قضيتي السرقات الشعرية والتناص، التي كانت محل نقاش وجدل بين النقاد، فقامت بينهما معارك أدبية عنيفة، بين إثبات أحدهما، ونفي الآخر، بعدّ الأول مصطلحاً تراثياً قديماً، أما الثاني فحديث معاصر.
وقد ارتأى الكاتب أن يدرس في هذا البحث هاتين القضيتين: السرقات الشعرية والتناص، التي تحمل بين دفتيها إشكاليات عدة من بينها: هل هي سرقات شعرية أم تناص؟ وما المقصود بالمصطلحين أولاً؟ وما الفرق بينهما؟ وما علاقة أحدهما بالآخر؟ وما موقف النقاد من كليهما؟.
كل هذه الإشكاليات وغيرها ستكون محور البحث، الذي اتكأ على المنهج التاريخي الذي يقوم على إستقراء المسائل النقدية المتصلة بالموضوع، وعلى المنهج التحليلي المقارن، الذي يوازن بين المصطلحين، إنطلاقاً من الرؤية الداخلية والخارجية للنص الحاضر والغائب والغوص في البنية العميقة له، لمعرفة تشكيلها التناصي أو المسروق، وإستتكشاف القيم الجمالية.
كما انفتح البحث على المنهج البنيوي، للكشف عن التداخلات النصية المتحكمة في بنية النص الحاضر، وهي نصوص مترسبة في عمق جذور كل نص بمستوياته المختلفة.
