افترض الله- عز وجل- على المسلمين الصلاة خضوعاً لجلاله، وخشوعاً لعظمته، وتواضعاً لكبريائه.. وجميع أعمال الصلاة تعظيم لله وتقديس له، فلا عمل بعد توحيد الله أفضل من الصلاة؛ لأنه إفتتحها بالتوحيد والتعظيم لله بالتكبير، ثم الثناء على الله بقراءة فاتحة الكتاب، التي هي حمد لله وثناء عليه، وتمجيد له ودعاء، وكذلك التسبيح في الركوع والسجود والتكبيرات عند كل خفض ورفع، كل ذلك توحيد لله وتعظيم له، وختمها بالشهادة له بالتوحيد، ولرسوله بالرسالة، وفي الصحيح عن أبي هريرة (صلى الله عليه وسلم) عن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) أنه قال: "أرئيتم لو أن بباب أحدكم نهراً غمراً يغتسل فيه كل يوم خمس مرات، هل يبقي من درنه شيئاً؟" قالوا: لا يا رسول الله. قال: "وكذلك الصلوات الخمس، يمحو الله بهن الذنوب والخطايا". وفي هذا الكتاب، يتحدث المؤلف عن الصلاة وأهميتها؛ ويذكر الكثير من الأسباب التي تعين المسلم على تحقيق الخشوع في الصلاة؛ حتى المصلي على ثوابه كاملاً عند آدائها.
