وكما قال فرنان هالين "تؤكد نظرية التأويل والتأويليات الأدبية استحالة وجود منهجية حقيقية, وهى لا تقترح وصفات ذلك, لأن القراءة فن يتوقف على موهبة وتجربة وثقافة الفرد".
لقد زاوج هذا الكتاب بين النظري والتطبيقي, فاستطاع أن يقدم شبكة مفاهيمية صالحة لتحليل الكثير من أنواع الخطاب الأخرى, وقدم في الآن نفسه صورة عن الحريري تطلب الظفر بها عملية تأويلية شديدة التركيب, وهو ما يجعله جديرا بالقراءة.
