قد يتصور البعض من عنوان الكتاب "سبعة أيام في الجنة" أن مؤلفه السيد محمود الموسوي يتحدث عن جنّة الآخرة، ولكن قراءة متأنية للكتاب تجعل القارىء يدرك أن الموسوي يتحدث عن "جنة أخرى إسمها الواقعية، أو فلنقل تلك الجنة التي أخرج منها آدم عليه السلام حين عصى ربه فغوى، ليهبط إلى دنيا التضاد و "بعضكم لبعض عدو" [البقرة: 36] ...". بهذه العبارات يقدم المؤلف كتابه الذي يشكل رحلة إيمانية عاشها كمبلّغ ديني خلال سبعة ايام في بقعة طاهرة هي بنظره "الجنة بما حوّت" ، لذلك فالكتاب هو عبارة عن مذكرات المؤلف عن زيارته للأماكن المقدسة في عديد من البلدان الإسلامية هو ومجموعة من المؤمنين، مع ذكر الأحداث والوقائع والصلوات والدروس والرحلات التي اشتملت عليها الرحلة ومنها زيارة غار حراء، ومقام الإمام الحسين عليه السلام وأولياء الله الصالحين ... وغيرها.
يقول المؤلف: إنها مذكراتي هناك، إحساساتي، وما رأيت، أنقلها للقاصي والداني، والذي لو رأى هو بنفسه لعلم قبل أن ينكر، كما أكد ذلك كل من حضر هناك حيث رجال الله الذين يبيتون لربهم سجداً وركعاً، وكما قيل أسود في النهار ورهبان في الليل، وحيث أيضاً أرض ضمت قوافل الشهداء الذين تجهزوا وتربوا وتابوا وآمنوا فزادهم الله هدى ...".
