إن مشكلتي نضوب مصادر الطاقة التقليدية وتلوث البيئة الناشئ عن شراهة الدول الصناعية في حرق النفظ والفحم ناهيك عن ارتفاع اسعارها وما ترتب على ذلك من مشاكل اقتصادية وخمية لدول العالم النامي لمن اهم ما يدعونا إلى ضرورة الالتفاف إلى ما انعم الله به على بلادنا من مصادر للطاقة المتجددة وضرورة استغلالها. وما مؤلفنا هذا الا محاولة متواضعة من اجل التعريف بهذة الطاقات التى لا تنضب من شمس ورياح ونبات وحرارة أرضية وهيدروجين ومحيطات وبحار ومد وجزر ومساقط للمياة وغيرها. والسيطرة على تقنيات تحويل هذه الطاقات المتجددة إلى صور الطاقة الثلاث من كهرباء وحرارة وحركة سضع الدول الفقيرة على عتبة باب جديد في التقدم التقني وسيحل بعض معضلاتها الاقتصادية والتنموية. وكتابنا هذا هو ثمرة عدة بحوث لنا في هذا الموضوع. ولقد بذلنا جهدنا لنبعد عن المعادلات الصعبة او المعقدة مع شرح وتبسيط لمحتواها العلمي حتى نحافظ على الامانة العلمية في أسلوب سلس وبسيط.
