ولا بد لي قبل الدخول بالبحث والتفصيل، وإستعراض ما جاء في الكتاب من آراء وأقوال وحجج وبيانات، من إيراد لمحة بسيطة عن حياة الفلاسفة الثلاث الذيين اشتركوا بالمناقشة وهم الرازي، والسجستاني والكرماني.
