«بَيْتي في حَدِيقَةِ الحَيَواناتِ» قصّة من الأدب الفلمنكي يعيش الأطفال معها يوماً في حياة "لِيَانَا". فكلّ صباح، توقظها الزرافة، وتصطحبها لتحضير الفطور مع الدبّين اللطيفَين، ثمّ تذهب بعد ذلك لتنظّف أسنانها مع التمساح. بأسلوب فريد ومتنوع يغلب عليه الحنين، يحكي بيتر غاوديسابوس عن "لِيَانَا" التي تصطحب القارئ في يوم مليء بالأنشطة الجنونية، كاللعب بكرة السلّة مع القردة والانزلاق على خرطوم الفيل للغطس في بركة من الطين. وتساعد الأفعى "لِيَانَا" للاستمتاع بالسباحة بعد ذلك، وبرفقة طيور النّحام، تذهب لرؤية الدبّ القطبي ويتناولون جميعاً المثلّجات، ترسم مع البطاريق، ويحمل إليها الجمل طبق المعكرونة. أخيراً، تقرأ "لِيَانَا" قصّة لجميع أصدقائها في حديقة الحيوانات، قبل أن تنام على فراء الحمار الوحشي.
