إنطلاقاً من الدور بالغ الأهمية الذي تلعبه أسواق رأس المال بصفة عامة وبورصات الأوراق المالية بصفة خاصة في تمويل الإقتصاد القومي في الوقت الحاضر، فضلاً عن دورها الخاص في تحقيق التنمية والتقدم في الدول النامية ومنها مصر، كان موضوع هذه الدراسة هو دراسة آليات العمل في بورصة الأوراق المالية. وسوف يكون عرضنا من خلال دراسة مقارنة بين بورصة الأوراق المالية في مصر كإحدى البورصات الناشئة وبورصة الأوراق المالية في فرنسا كإحدى البورصات ذات التاريخ الطويل والتي تشغل مكاناً بارزاً بين البورصات العالمية. ولا شك أن عرض الدراسة بهذه الطريقة (دراسة مقارنة) من شأنه أن يضع أيدينا على أوجه القصور التي قد تعتري بعض الجوانب التنظيمية أو الفنية لبورصة الأوراق المالية في مصر، ويجعلنا نحاول مستعينين في ذلك بأراء الفقه الاقتصادي المصري والأجنبي إلى الوصول إلى أفضل الطرق والوسائل لعلاج هذا القصور بغية الوصول بالبورصة المصرية إلى المستوى المأمول وسوف يكون عرضنا لهذه الدراسة على النحو التالي:
فصل تمهيدي: نشأة وتطور بورصة الأوراق المالية، الفصل الأول: تنظيم وإدارة بورصات الأوراق المالية، الفصل الثاني: الأدوات المالية محل التداول ببورصة الأوراق المالية، الفصل الثالث: أحكام قيد وتداول الأوراق المالية بالبورصة، الفصل الرابع: مؤشرات قياس حالة بورصة الأوراق المالية.
