Book Description
Cette œuvre de l’imãm al-Haddãd, sa plus longue, fut achevée en 1089 de l’Hégire. Il en avait rédigé Presque la moitié au moment de partir pour le hajj, et les chapitres correspondants furent lus en sa présence à La Mecque et à Médine, où on l’avait accueilli avec enthousiasme, le considérant comme le savant le plus éminent de son époque, Il confia plus tard à son disciple et serviteur, le shaykh Ahmad al-Shajjãr: "Notre ambition avec Les Conseils en matière de religion était qu’il soit facile, clair, compréhensible par un lecteur intelligent, et suffisant".
Le lecteur pourra considérer à juste titre cet ouvrage comme une préparation à d’autres plus élaborés, et notamment à la somme de l’imãm al-Ghazãlī, Ihyā’ ‘ulūm al-dīn, à propos duquel on a dit que le présent ouvrage est le ‘h’ de Ihyā’.
