علي بن أحمد بن محمد العزيزي البولاقي الشافعيّ:
فقيه مصري، من العلماء بالحديث. مولده العزيزية (من الشرقية، بمصر) وإليها نسبته. ووفاته ببولاق.
له كتب، منها «السراج المنير بشرح الجامع الصغير - ط» ثلاثة أجزاء (1).

Book Description
يُعتبرُ هذا الكتابُ من أفضل شروح (الجامع الصغير) للإمام السيوطي، فهو شرحٌ كاسمه، عزيزُ المِثال، بديعُ الكَمال، مُحْكَمُ المِنْوَال، سَهْلُ النّوَال، راقت مواردُ معانيه، وطابت مشاربُ مبانيه، أودَعَ فيه مؤلِّفُه خبايا كنوزه من نفيس الجَوَاهِر، وكَشَفَ النِّقَابَ عن مُخَدّرَاتِ أحاديثه الغُرِّ الزّوَاهِر، وتأنّقَ في استكشاف بَدِيعِ دُرِّ أخبارِهِ البَهِيِّ الباهر، وأَتْرَعَ حياضَ معارِفِهِ من فَيْضِ سُحُبِ آثارِهِ المَوَاطِر.
ويعد هذه الشرح من الشروح المتوسطة، ومن ميزاته أنه يحكم على غالب الأحاديث من جهة الصحة والضعف، وينقل أحياناً أقوال العلماء في ذلك.
وقد استفادَ المُؤلِّفُ في شرحه هذا مِنْ شروح مَنْ سبقه مِنَ العلماء إلى شرح (الجامع الصغير)، وخاصة شرح الإمام المُنَاوي، وشرح الشيخ محمد حجازي الشعراني، وغيره، وقد انتهى من تأليفه سنة 1045ﻫ. وقد حُلِّي هذا الكتاب بـ(حاشية الحَفنيِّ على الجامع الصغير)، حيث فرغ الحَفنيّ من تأليفها سنة 1079ﻫ.
والمُؤلِّف هو: الشيخ المُحدِّث الإمام علي بن أحمد بن محمد العزيزي ـ نسبة للعزيزية من الشرقية بمصر ـ البُولاقيِّ الشافعيَّ، كان إماماً فقيهاً محدثاً حافظاً متفنناً ذكياً، سريع الحفظ بعيد النسيان، مواظباً على النظر والتحصيل، كثير التلاوة، متواضعاً، كثير الاشتغال بالعلم، وكانت وفاته سنة 1070ﻫ ببولاق وبها دفن.
وصاحب الحاشية هو: الشيخ محمد بن سالم بن أحمد الحَفنيِّ أو الحَفناويِّ الشافعي المِصريِّ، ولد بحفنة ونشأ بها، ثم قدم القاهرة، وحفظ المتون، واجتهد في تحصيل العلوم، وأخذ عن علماء عصره حتى مهر وأفاد في حياة أشياخه، وأجازوه بالإفتاء والتدريس. تُوفِّي بالقاهرة سنة 1081ﻫ، ودفن بقرافة المجاورين.
