كما يقدم هذا الكتاب دراسة مفصلة للعلاقة ما بين مجلس الأمن والمحكمة الجنائية الدولية من خلال منح المجلس بعض الصلاحيات ضمن النظام الأساسي للمحكمة الجنائيّة الدوليّة سواء ما يتعلق بسلطة مجلس الأمن في الإحالة وفقًا للمادة (13/ب)، أو الإرجاء وفقًا للمادة (16)، مقابل بعض الإلتزامات من قِبَله بما يمتلكه من إصدار قرارات ملزمة لتنفيذها بموجب الفصل السّابع من الميثاق، ودعم عملها وتسهيل مهامها لتطبيق قواعد الإنصاف والعدالة.
