لقد أقام عبد القاهرة مدرسة نقدية لغوية نحوية شغل بها من شغل من الدارسين: قديما وحديثا ، ولكنها ما زالت ميدانا بكرا للدرس النقدي في اتجاهات شتى: بين القديم والحديث ، ووجد كل دارس بغيته من خلال جهودة المميزة، ومن هذه الدراسات والاتجاهات ما أعتمد على الموازنة بينه وبين آخرين: كابن الأثير وابن جني والزمخشري والرازي ، وعلى غير هذه الدراسات الأحادية نجد دراسات أخرى ثانائية تقوم على استيعاب تراثنا العربي ثم الإنطلاق إلى تراث الاخر بذات الرؤية قارئة ومقارنة، ويأتي هذا المبحث ليقارن بين "Murry" وعبد القاهر الجرجاني محاولا الدخول في الدائرة الثنائية المقارنة، فلقد لفت نظري عند ترجمتى لكتاب "جون ميري" The problem of style الالتقاء الكبير في ميادين واضحة بين الناقدين ، بل هناك أمور كثيرة متطابقة بينهما تمام التطابق على حد تعبير الرياضيين مما يجعله ضرورة ملحة لهذا الميدانن وبناء على هذه الأمور فقد تكون من اربعة اقسام هى : المدخل ، والمحور الأول، والمحور الثاني ، ثم محور المحصلات الاستنتاجي.
