يتناول هذا الكتاب "تاريخ العلاقات الدولية والحضارة الحديثة" العلاقات الدولية منذ أقدم العصور حتى وقتنا الحاضر، حيث تناول الفصل الأول العلاقات السياسية الدولية، طرق الدراسة ومناهج البحث، وأنه تناول النظريات الخاصة بمناهج دراسة العلاقات السياسية الدولية، والمناهج المعاصرة فى ذلك والتحليلات الخاصة بذلك.
أما الفصل الثانى فيتناول التاريخ الدبلوماسى والقنصلى.
وبالنسبة للفصل الثالث، فقد تحدث عن تطور العلاقات الدولية.
وعنوان الفصل الرابع "المنظمات الدولية وتطورها التاريخى" وتم التعرض لتعريف المنظمات الدولية وتطورها التاريخى، ومرحلة ما بين الحربين العالميتين وبروز الدافع السياسى والإجتماعى.
أما العلاقات الدولية فى عام 1945م فهو عنوان الفصل الخامس، وقد شهد هذا العام أحداثاً سياسية مهمة بالنسبة لإنتهاء الحرب العالمية الثانية، أو أنها كانت على وشك الإنتهاء.
وبالنسبة للفصل السادس فقد تحدث عن قيام الأمم المتحدة عام 1945م، وبعض المنظمات الإقليمية. حيث تحددت أهدافها العامة فى ديباجة ميثاقها بلغة تحمل فى طياتها نوعاً من الحلول الوسط.
أما الفصل السابع فهو بعنوان "القضية الأرمنية والمسألة الكردية قضايا معاصرة" ودور الأمم المتحدة فيها.
