لعل الرواية هي النوع الأدبي الأكثر ملاءمة للتعبير عن البيئة المحلية لبلد الكاتب، فتأتي الكتابة لتعكس قراءتها لماضي البلد وتاريخه، ولتغطي مرحلة تاريخية آفلة عاشها الأجداد وتحملوا مخاطرها. ورواية (وادي المؤمنين) للكاتبة فاطمة آل تيسان تشكل إطاراً مكانياً، وزمانياً لما عاشه أجدادها السابقين من سكان قرى وادي نجران، حيث تسرد الكاتبة جانباً من حكايا اصحاب هذه القرى وكيف كانت معقلاً للخطر والموت بفعل السيول والأمراض وشظف العيش، بالإضافة إلى ما تعرضوا له من حروب ونزاعات غير أ،هم تكيفوا مع ذلك كله وخلقوا حياة جديدة، فيها الأتراح وفيها الأفراح، وتعايشوا سلماً مع من توافدوا إليها في تاريخها القديم، مثل اليهود الذين مكثوا زمناً وخلفوا زخماً من الحكايات قبل أن يغادروا إلى اليمن بفعل الأحداث السياسية. وهنا تبرز الكاتبة التحولات التي مرت بها البلاد مع دخول الجيش السعودي إلى هذه القرى وتمركزه في العديد من المنافذ والمواقع الحدودية، التي كانت وسيلة تواصل مع اليمن وساهمت في ازدهار هذه القرى بفعل حركة القوافل التي تمر من خلالها.
"وادي المؤمنين" هي العمل الروائي الأول للكاتبة فاطمة آل تيسان (2015) أهدتها إلى: الأرواح التي غمرت المكان واستودعته حكاياها، إلى أجدادي الراحلين .. أهدي نبض الوادي وذاكرته".
