The book "The Modern understanding of Islam" is written and mainly aimed to serve as an act of introduction between non-muslim reader and the Quaran. to suit the taste of different readers, the Quranic signs were assorted into subjects to bring forth harmony in the flow of the subjects. The book can also serve as a book of refernce to muslim lecturers and thesis writers.
The main target is to show the reader that Quran calls for glorifying and praising God and calls for good behaviour and avoidance of corruption, indecency and indolence.
The writer explains why he had wrote his book and says: When I found so many curious behaviours and different understandings. Besides very large groups in this world ignore the rules of religion that leasd them to happiness. We take for example the Islamic religion, very large group of people have ambiguous notions that this religion calls for killing and terror. This concept creates hatred and disgust among them. So they hate anything that is related to Islam. Personally I felt very distressed and angry with a certain muslim group that have not reached the medium level of education to step forward and appoint themselves to teach people the rules of Islam in a manner which can be considered below any standard of teaching. their teachings are therefore in appropriate and cause harm to others and to their companions".
The writer also says "I wrote this book in a symplified way just to give them a chance to understand the correct behaviour and prove that it is not at all a terror or acts of distruction. This book shows the way of good behaviour, honesty etc,.. whereas killing innocent people is absolutely forbidden. Self defence is surely permitted but in a lawful way. Honesty is a must, heirs must have their legal shares, poor people must be helped and this is why the Islam religion has asserted that (Zakat) in Arabic means Alms tax to be given yearly out of their wealth and the amount defined to two percent from their wealth to poor families yearly. (Riba) in Arabic means interest, this is absolutely prohibited by all means. Obeying mothers and fathers is a must and obligatory, especially when they reach old age, it is also a big fault and offence to reproach or reprimand them not even to say to them (oof) angrilly. Respect must be always shown to them".
