هذا الكتاب تتبع فيه الباحث أثر العقيدة الإسلامية وعلم الكلام في جوانب نحوية مختلفة أولها: الأصول النحوية، وثانيها صياغة الفكر النحوي من مصطلحات وتقسيمات ولغة تأليف؛ وثالثهما: التوجيه النحوي لنصوص ذات مضمون عقدي من قرآن وحديث ومنظوم ومنثور؛ وقد مهد لذلك بتمهيد بسط فيه القول في أسباب التأثير الكلامي في النحو العربي، والصلة التاريخية بين العلمين، والعلاقة بين النحو والمنطق، والصلة بين اللغة والعالم الخارجي، وختم كل ذلك بخاتمة أبرز فيها نتائج البحث ومنها: التفسير الكلامي لموقف النحاة الغامض أو المتحفظ أو المعترض أحياناً على القراءات القرآنية، والحديث النبوي؛ ومنها بيان حظ النحاة من التفكير العلمي من خلال المقاربة بين منهج القياس عندهم ومنهج الإستقراء العلمي الحديث، ومنها رد الاعتبار إلى العلل النحوية التي هوجمت من الباحثين المحدثين بحجة أنها كانت متأثرة بالفلسفة والمنطق، وقد احتوى الكتاب على عدد كثير من القواعد العقلية التي حكمت تفكير النحاة، ومنها أنه لا يجتمع على معلول واحد علتان؛ حيث أثرت هذه القاعدة في موقف بعض النحويين الذين منعوا التعليل بعلتين في النحو، وكذلك في بعض قواعد العامل؛ حيث قالوا: لا يجتمع على معمول واحد عاملان. ومنها أن الشئ لا يعلل بنفسه حيث طبق النحاة هذه القاعدة في شروطهم في المفعول لأجله؛ حيث اشترطوا أن يصلح كونه علة؛ فلا يجوز أحسنت إليك إحساناً لأن الشئ لا يعلل بنفسه. ومنها أن العدم لا يعلل به وهي قاعدة كلامية عبر عنها بعض النحويين بمنعهم أن يكون التعري عن العوامل سبباً في رفع المضارع، وقالوا بل رفعه الوقوع موقع الإسم. وبعد فإن هذا الكتاب يقدم زاداً معرفياً وفيراً للقارئ العربي، كما يعد إضافة إلى المكتبة العربية والإسلامية على السواء.
