كان عبد الناصرمولعاً بالعمل السري منذ أن شكل خلية الضباط الأحرار قبل الثورة وهى امتداد بشكل ما للتنظيمات السياسية التي أقامتها هذه الثورة ونستطيع أن نميز خطأ بارزا ًفي العلاقة بين أول تنظيمات الثورة السياسية في نهاية الأربعينات وأخر تنظيم سري أقيم داخل الإتحاد الإشتراكي- التنظيم الطليعي السري عام 1963 على الرغم من أنه كان على قمة الجهاز السياسي وفي كامل قوته.
وكانت فكرة عبد الناصر إيجاد تنظيم منضبط مثل التنظيمات الشيوعية وقد أراده سرياً لما أبداه من رغبته في حماية أعضاء التنظيم.
وقد تكاثر هؤلاء الأعضاء- كما يقول شاهد عيان- بحيث لم يعد بالإمكان حصرهم وأصبحت هذه المهنة- كتابة التقارير- مشاعاً لكل من يرغب في طرق الأبواب الذهبية لنظام عبد الناصر ولو فوق رقاب البشر فقد كان عبد الناصر يعتبر هذه الكتابة إخلاص أو إتقان أو كفاءة وهؤلاء أوجدوا أجواء متوترة ومسمومة فلم تكن هزيمة 1967 منفصلة عن هذا الواقع.
عموماً فسوف تتناول هذه الدراسة- سيتبعها جزء ثان وثائقي- من خلال مقدمة وأربعة فصول وملاحق نشأة التنظيم الطليعي السري وأبرز قيادته ونماذج من تقاريرهم السرية. وتشكيلاته ومدى تغلفهم في وسائل الإعلام والقضاء والجامعات والنقابات..... من خلال وثائق جديدة على درجة كبيرة من الأهمية.
