مغامرات شيقة ومثيرة، يخوضها (يزن) ابن الثانية عشرة من عمره ضد قوى الشر التي يقودها (زنزون الساحر) ضد قريته الآمنة وناسها الطيبين، تدور المغامرات في فضاء فوق واقعي وأن تشابه بعضها مع أماكن واقعية كتبت بأسلوب الخيال العلمي، وتنتمي بأحداثها إلى المتخيل الغرائبي حيث يملك أبطالها قوى خارقة في التنقل بين الأماكن والأشجار والأحجار والمخابئ والأوكار فهم إما ثعالب أو كلاب أو خنازير ولا يخلو السرد من الوحوش والعفاريت والجن. يتمتمون بكلمات مبهمة وغامضة، ولكن (يزن) عرف كيف يكون لهم بالمرصاد لأنه ولد ذكي ويعرف كيف يستخدم عقله ويعلم مدى ضعفهم وصغرهم أمام هذا الكون وأنهم سرعان ما ينهارون عندما يبدأ بتلاوة آيات من القرآن الكلايم.
يضم الكتاب ثمان قصص قصيرة تشكل مغامرات الفتى (يزن) وهي في مضمونها تعرض الصراع الخفي (بين الخير والشر) كتبت بأسلوب طفولي محبب إلى خيال الأطفال، تشجعهم على فعل الخير ومواجهة الشر، وتعلمهم أن الحق دائماً هو أقوى من الباطل.
