المرتكز الفكري الأساسي عند تنظيم القاعدة ، هو ما يعبر عنه ايمن الظواهري في وصيته "فرسان تحت راية النبي" ان تنظيمهم يمثل حلفا أصوليا ، مضادا للقوى الغربية المعادية للإسلام. وقد توقفنا في الجزء الاول من كتاب" حلف الإرهاب" أمام مؤسس التنظيم عبد الله عزام وها هو الجزء الثاني يصل بنا إلى الاسم الأكثر شهرة وقدره على بث الرعب والذعر في قلوب صفوف التحالف الغربي : أسامة بن لادن. يقع الجزء الثاني في خمسة فصول ، يتطرق من خلالهما المؤلف إلى كل ما يفيد في فهم اسامة بن لادن ليس على المستوى الشخصي فحسب ولكن ايضا من حيث انه يمثل ظاهرة ويعبر عن فكرة قد نختلف معها ولكن لا نملك الا ان نعترف بخطورة تأثيرها منذ نشأته منتميا إلى اسرة سعودية بالغة الثراء وصولا إلى علاقته مع طالبان مرورا بتنظيم القاعدة الذي يتوج البداية الحافلة ويجدد النهاية بكل ابعادها المتشابكة ومثلما ينتهى الجزء الاول من الكتاب بمجموعة من الوثائق المهمة التى تتعلق بالدكتور عبد الله عزام فان الجزء الثاني يضم عدد من الوثائق المهمة التى تلقي الضوء ساطعا على ابن لادن وأفكاره وتوجيهاته ، كما انها تكشف عن التطور الملموس في شخصيته ذاتيه وموضوعيا. وليس من شك في ان الكتاب باجزائة الأربعة في طبعته الثانية يمثل اهمية خاصة لمن يريدون فهم جذور الظاهرة والمستقبل الذي ينتظرها. وهذا هو الكتاب الثاني في اطار مشروع " موسوعة الحركات الإسلامية" الذي يعده " المركز العربي لدراسات الإسلام والديمقراطية"
