لقد نجحت الباحثة من خلال عملها هذا أن تثبت أن السياسة الأمريكية رغم ثباتها تتلون بحسب رأس الإدارة وهو ما رصدته من خلال التحول الذي حدث بعد مقتل جون كيندي وتولي ليندون جونسون الرئاسة، فرغم انتماء كلًا منهما إلى الحزب الديمقراطي إلا أن جونسون قد أخذ السياسة الأمريكية إلى مرحلة الانحياز الواضح متأثرًا بخلفيته الحزبية ورؤيته أن أصوات اليهود مهمة في مواجهة الضغوط الداخلية التي كان يتعرض له حزبه بسبب حرب فيتنام، ومن اللافت للنظر أن الباحثة في عملها قد تطرقت إلى التحولات في السياسة الأمريكية من البداية إلى وصول جونسون للبيت الأبيض واستطاعت أن تكشف عن خبايا السياسة الأمريكية وكيف أن اللوبي الصهيوني يلعب دورًا مؤثرًا في صياغتها، والبحث كشف عن المحاولات الأمريكية لاستخدام قضية المياه كوسيلة لتحقيق السلام بما يتماشى مع المنطق الإسرائيلي.
وفي رسالتها استطاعت الباحثة أن تسلط الضوء بصورة أو بأخرى على قضية الحرب العربية الباردة وكيف أنها أثرت بلا شك تأثيرًا سلبيًا على السياسا الأمريكية تجاه قضية الصراع، وفي الفصل الرابع والذي كان عنوانه بلا شك يدل على قدرة الباحثة على فهم طبيعة الأحداث، فمع قيام منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية خرجت القضية من قضية الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي إلى قضية الدور الفلسطيني الذي مازلنا نعايشه حتى وقتنا هذا فمع قيام منظمة التحرير الفلسطينة أصبح من الصعوبة بما كان إنكار حقوق هذا الشعب عربيًا ودوليًا بل أن وجود هذه المنظمة ودورها الفعال كان عاملًا من عوامل التوتر واليقظة وربما الانقسام بين بعض القيادات العربية وهو ما قد مسته الباحثة بصورة أو بأخرى من خلال عملها. وفي فصلها الأخير (الطريق لحرب الأيام الستة) فإنها قد رصدت الموقف الأمريكي الذي كان أشبه بالضوء الأصفر وهو الذي عبر عنه وليم كوانت في مقاله عن جونسون وحرب الأيام الستة.
وفي النهاية فإن ما خلصت إليه الباحثة من نتائج يجعلنا نرى أن الخطر لم يزول وأن حرب الأيام الستة كان بداية لمرحلة ونهاية لمرحلة الأخرى.
