وتمضي الأيام.. لم تعد الزوجة الثانية.. أم سعاد.. تطيق استغراق الزوج محمد حسني في بهيميته.. فسعت الي الطلاق وحصلت عليه لكي تتزوج مرة ثانية من ناظر لأحدي المدارس هو عبد المنعم حافظ.. لتنقل الي بيت آخر، وتصل بابنائها وبناتها الي 17 أختاً وأخاً.
وقبل أن يقود المخرج الكبير هنري بركات سعاد حسني الي مكتبي وانا مديراً لتحرير مجلة الكواكب في أواخر عام 1958 وقد اختارها كبطلة جديدة لفيلمه "حسن ونعيمة" كنت قد رأيت سعاد حسني أكثر من مرة.. مع الصديق الكاتب الشاعر المتعدد المواهب عبد الرحمن الخميسي في زيارته معها لمجلة "صباح الخير" التي صدرت عام 1956م أو خلال البروفات المسرحية لفرقته التي كان ينوي ان تكون باكورة اعمالها مسرحية أطلق عليها اسم " نجفة بولاق" واختار سعاد حسني بطله لها، لكن المسرحية لم تعرض، اذ افلست الفرقة بعد ست شهور فقط من انشائها.
علي أن سعاد حسني، منذ دخلت مكتبي في الكواكب مع بركات، اصبحت بيننا قنطرة من الود والفهم المتبادل والتعاطف الواعي والقرب فيما توالي من سنوات، حتي تلك النهاية المأساوية التي أنهت حياتها..
