محمود عزت إبراهيم القائم بأعمال المرشد العام لجماعة الإخوان المسلمين بصفة مؤقتة، وأحد أبرز قيادات جماعة الإخوان المسلمين، ولد في 13 أغسطس 1944 بالقاهرة، وهو عضو مكتب الإرشاد بالجماعة، وأستاذ بكلية الطب في جامعة الزقازيق. متزوج، وله خمسة أولاد.

تعرفه على الإخوان المسلمين
تعرَّف على الإخوان المسلمين صبيًّا سنة 1953 ، وانتظم في صف (الإخوان) سنة 1962 ، وكان وقتها طالبًا في كلية الطب، ثم اعتُقل سنة 1965م، وحُكِم عليه بعشر سنوات وخرج سنة 1974 ، وكان وقتها طالبًا في السنة الرابعة، وأكمل دراسته وتخرج في كلية الطب عام 1976 ، وظلَّت صلتُه بالعمل الدعوي في مصر- وخصوصًا الطلابي التربوي- حتى ذهب للعمل في جامعة صنعاء في قسم المختبرات سنة 1981 ، ثم سافر إلى إنجلترا ليكمل رسالة الدكتوراة، ثم عاد إلى مصر ونال الدكتوراة من جامعة الزقازيق سنة 1985. واختير عضوًا في مكتب الإرشاد سنة 1981م.

إن اليخت محروسة يحكي تاريخ مصر المعاصر، ويختزل في جوانبه ذكريات لا حصر لها وأحداثاً عديدة كان شاهداً عليها. من هنا كان حرصي على إتمام هذا الكتاب التذكاري الذي يعرض تاريخ اليخت محروسة، فهو تحفة بحرية من أندر القطع البحرية في العالم الآن. وهذا الكتاب يجيء كعمل تذكاري يبرز جسور التعاون الوطيدة بين مكتبة الإسكندرية والقوات البحرية المصرية، موجهاً الشكر للفريق أسامة الجندي قائد القوات البحرية على تعاونه لتذليل جميع العقبات أمام فريق العمل ليخرج لنا هذا الكتاب بالشكل الرائع الذي يليق بالقوات البحرية المصرية وبمكتبة الإسكندرية. ويعرض الكتاب تاريخ اليخت منذ بنائه و تدشينه في إبريل عام 1865م، في عهد الخديوي إسماعيل، و كان طوله 125 متراً وعرضه 13 متراً وحمولته 3,417 طناً، ويعتبر اليخت "محروسة" أسطورة حقيقية، حيث لم يسبق أن بُني يخت بهذا الحجم أو حتى ما يقاربه. كما يعرض الكتاب عدد من الصور والوثائق لليخت ورحلاته واستخدام حكام وملوك ورؤساء مصر له في رحلاتهم المختلفة عبر البحار. ويُذكر أن اليخت "محروسة" يعتبر أقدم قطعة بحرية في العالم تعمل بكفاءة عالية منذ أكثر من قرن، وهو أول قطعة بحرية تعبر قناة السويس في افتتاحها عام 1869م، ومن المقرر أن يكون في مقدمة السفن التي ستعبر قناة السويس الجديدة عند افتتاحها في شهر أغسطس 2015م.
