يتكون هذا الكتاب من أربعة فصول فيتناول الفصل الاول من هذه الدراسة لبدايات حركة الاصلاح الاجتماعي عند ا لاقباط التى تعود إلى بداية تصاعد النفوذ الأجنبي في البلاد. أما الفصل الثاني فقد تناول قيام جمعية التوفيق والعراقيل التى واجهتها عند التاسيس ، ونجاحها في اجتياز العقبات والعراقيل التى اعترضت طريها كما أشرنا منذ قليل. وفي الفصل الثالث تتبعنا في تأن دور الجمعية في مجال التعليم وادراك رجالها بأن التعليم هو المخرج الوحيد لحل المشكلة الاجتماعية واخيرا الفصل الرابع فقد تناول دور الجميعة في مجال الاصلاح الديني والاجتماعي ويقصد بالاصلاح الديني اصلاح رجال الدين او الاكليروس والاجتماعي بمعنى العناية بشئون الاقباط الاجتماعية .
