Book Description
"قاموس المصطلحات الجامعية" هو قاموس متخصص بالمفاهيم المعتمدة في الجامعات سواءً منها ما له تعلق بالعمل الأكاديمي المحض أو ما له صلة بالعمل الإدارة أو الفني داخل الجامعة، جاء باللغتين العربية والإنكليزية مع مسرد عربي / إنكليزي لاستخراج ما يلزم من مصطلحات.
أما طريقة البحث في القاموس فقد اختار المؤلف أقرب المعاني باللغة العربية إلى ما يقابلها باللغة الإنجليزية، متجاوزاً المعاني والمترادفات الأخرى للمعنى المراد، كما تم شرح وتوضيح كل مصطلح بما يلزمه من بيان بشكل مركز ومكثّف، كما أن كل المفاهيم الإنجليزية كُتبت من قبل المؤلف بالحروف الصغيرة Small Letters سواءً أكانت هذه المفاهيم أسماءً أم صفات أم أفعالاً على أساس أن هذا القاموس هو "قاموس فني وليس قاموساً لغوياً متخصصاً" وقد استخدم المؤلف مصطلح (الطلبة) للدلالة على الذكور والإناث معاً وهو الأشيع من الناحية اللغوية عندما يُراد بذلك صيغة الجمع، أما في حال التخصيص والإفراد فقد ذكر المؤلف كلاًّ بإسمه (طالب ، طالبة ، طلاّب ، طالبات ..) وأخيراً مسرد عربي – إنكليزي.
