عن الوجودية قال الحكيم " توفيق الحكيم " حين سأله سائل: عن الوجودية وما يماثلها من المذاهب .. وهل انهى الأمر بها إلى الأندماج فى أدبنا فأصبحت ذات أثر فيها يصدر عن الكاتبين من أدب وفن ؟! أن أن أمرها لا يعدو كتابات دبجها بعض الذين أطلعوا على بعض خصائص هذه المذاهب؟ فكان مما أجاب به الكاتب الفليسوف: أن رواج هذه المذاهب الذى ينم عن نشاط عقلى ، ولم يكتف بالتلقى السلبى عن الخارج بل تخطاه إلى الإنشاء الإيجابي ومن الخير أن نذكر دائما بأن ضعف الثقافة القومية والتأثر دائما بما يرد إلينا من نظريات وفلسفات فجة كل ذلك له خطره لأنه سينشئ جيلا ينظر إلى تراثه القومى وإلى دينة وربما إلى لغته وثقافته بنفس النظرة التى ينظر بها إلينا أولئك الذين يريدون لنا عن تراثنا تحويلا ونحن نجتاز فترة من التاريخ فيها كثير من الذين يتربصون بنا . ويريدون أن يغزونا من الداخل بمثل هذه المذاهب. فمن واجبنا اليقظة وان نحرص فى هذه الفترة بالذات على تغذية شعلة الحماس الوطنى. وان نحاول ان نحميها من هذه الدسائس الفكرية التى تحاول أن توهنها.
نقدم هذا الكتاب إلى قارئ واعي يزيد من وعيه .. أو قارئ يريد أن يخلق وعيه في عالم تحيط نبا الأخطار فيه من كل اتجاه - لعل الرسالة قد وصلت.
