حاول هذا الكتاب أن يعالج مشكلات نحوية بيانية قديمة حديثة هي: تضمين الأفعال معاني غيرها، وإنابة حروف الجر مناب غيرها، وزيادتها؛ إذ القول بهذه الآراء كان محاولة لمعالجة مشكلة وهمية لا وجود لها في واقع العربية، سببه هو تخصيص النحاة تعدي كل فعل بحروف جر محددة، وعندما وجدوه تعدى بغير الحرف المختص به في لغة التنزيل عدوه خروجاً - ولم يعودوا إلى قاعدتهم النحوية - فأخذوا يبحثون عن مسوغات ذلك الخروج مدافعين عن النص القرآني، فقال أغلب البصريين بتضمين الفعل معنى فعل آخر، وقال أغلب الكوفيين بإنابة الحرف مناب حرف آخر، فأبقو على قاعدتهم النحوية تلك من خلال التضحية بأسرار حروف الجر ومعانيها الدقيقة في النص القرآني، فجاء هذا الكتاب رافضاً تلكم الأقوال محاولا إستجلاء سر تعدي الفعل بهذا الحرف في هذا السياق وسر تعديه بالآخر في سياق آخر من نص الذكر الحكيم.
