Book Description
"فيرجيل" هو أعظم شاعر لاتيني، وُلد في عام 70 ق. م وقد عايش أشد الفترات إضطراباً في التاريخ الروماني (نهاية الجمهورية وبداية الإمبراطورية).
وفي سن الخامسة عشرة رحل إلى "ميلانو" ثم إلى "روما" ليدرس علم الفلك والفلسفة والطب، استفاد من حماية الإمبراطور "أوكتاف" والذي كان "فيرجيل" قد أشاد به في أول عمل شعري له وهو عبارة عن "قصائد رعوية" والتي ظهرت في عام 37 ق. م. وقد لاقى هذا العمل نجاحاً هائلاً.
وقد كرس العشرين سنة الأخيرة من حياته، بعيداً عن أصحاب النفوذ، في تأليف الجيورجيات والإنيادة، وفي رواية "الإنيادة" كان "فيرجيل" يريد عن طريقها أن ينال شرف المشاركة في قصص "روما" وبخاصة قصص الإمبراطور "أوغسطوس" جاعلاً من هذا الأخير وريثاً، وقبل موته، طلب "فيرجيل" من "أوغسطوس" أن يدمر عمله "الإنيادة" غير المكتمل، ولحسن الحظ أن "أوغسطوس" لم يرضخ لطلب الشاعر، وانطفأ "فيرجيل" وهو يكتب "بريند" بعد عودته من "اليونان".
وقد كتب بنفسه على قبره: "الأن "مانتو" يضيء لي النهار ومنطقة "كالابر" تختطفني ومملكة "نابل" تستقبلني، وأنا أتغنى بالمراعي والأناشيد والمحاربين".
"الإنيادة" من بين الأساطير التي تحكي عن تأسيس "روما" واحدة تحكي أنه بعد سقوط "طروادة" قادت الآلهة الأمير "إينيه" إلى "إيطاليا"، وبعدها تزوج من ابنة ملك "اللاتيوم"، ومن ذريتهما انحدر "ريموس" و"رومولوس" مؤسسا "روما".
من خلال هذه الأسطورة جعل "فيرجيل" "الإنيادة" قصيدة طويلة مستلهمة من نصوص كبيرة، وخصوصاً (الإلياذة والأوذيسَّة)، كونت أسطورة "روما" المرتبطة بـ "طروادة" الخرافية.
