في الرواية موهبةٌ لامعة تتسم بالنُّضْج والثَّراء، وامتلاكٌ كاملٌ لأدواتِ الكتابة من حيث البناء الدّرامي وتِقْنية القَصّ وأسلوب السَّرْد ولُغَة الحَكْي. وفيها وَعْيٌ بالتَّجربة الحياتيّة والرّوائية في آنٍ واحد، وحساسية مُدْهشة بتوظيف كُلّ عناصر التَّجربة في نسيجِ النَّصّ بتآلُفٍ وتناغُمٍ وانسجام. مُنْذُ الإطْلالةِ الأولى تَشْعرُ بأنّك بإزاءِ عَملٍ روائيّ شديد الإحْكام، يأخذُكَ - عَبْرَ سَيْلٍ من الذكرياتِ والتَّداعيات- إلى عالمه روَيْداً، مازجاً الماضي بالحاضر، والثّابت بالمُتَغَيِّرْ، والآنيَّ بالآتي، والذّاتيّ بالعام، في سبيكةٍ ما أجْمَلها وما أنْفَس مَعْدنها وأصْفى جَوْهَرها.
الجُرْح الفلسطينيُّ هو لُحْمة وسُداةُ هذه التَّجربة الروائية، يختلطُ فيه كابوس الاحتلال وجرائمه المُشينة بالسِّجن الوَحْشيّ والقَهْرِ اليوميّ والتَّجريد من الهَويّة والافتئات على الحقيقة والتاريخ، وتَمْتزجُ فيه عذابات الشَّتاتِ والاغْتراب بالبَحْث عن الوطنِ الضّائع والتُّراثِ المَطْمورِ وذكريات الطفولة والصِّبا النابضة في شرايين الذاكرة. لكن - وهذه سِمةٌ أخرى من سِماتِ التَّمَيُّز - رغم كُلّ هذا النَّزْف الدّائم، والارتحالِ اللاَّهث عَبْر الزَّمان والمكان، والفَقْد المُتواترِ لكُلِّ ما هو عزيزٌ وأثيرْ، والتَّشَوُّه الذي يُحْدثه واقع الاحتلال في النَّفس والروح والوجدان، فإنَّ ثَمَّة لمسةً سِحْريَّة تجذبُكَ إلى الانغماس في هذه التَّجربة، والالتحام بدقائقها وتفاصيلها، واستشعار المُتْعةِ في التَّنقُّل عبرَ وقائعها وأحداثِها. إنّه سِرُّ الفَنِّ وجَوْهَرُ الإبْداع الأصيلْ، الذي يَجْعَلُنا نسْتعذبُ مُعايَشة الألَمَ بدأبٍ وإصْرارٍ على بلوغ الذّرْوة، فشاربُ الغِبْطةِ المُعتدلُ - كما تقولُ الشاعرة الأمريكية الشَّهيرة إميلي ديكنسون - لا يَسْتحقُّ اليُنبوعْ.
