من الواضح أن العالم أمام تغييرات كبيرة سوف تؤثر حتماً على جميع جوانب الحياة البشرية، بما في ذلك على عالم الإقتصاد والمال والتمويل، حيث يعاني عالم اليوم من الأزمات المالية، ومن "تقلب" أسعار الصرف، ومن "المخاطر النقدية" المختلفة؛ وبالتالي ليس من الصعوبة الإقتناع بضرورة العودة إلى المعيار الذهبي.
من الجدير ذكره، أن إنشاء نظام بريتون وودز والنظام الجمايكي كان مبدئياً لصالح "المالية الدولية"، ولم تتم مراعاة مصالح الشعوب، حيث لا يمكن تحقيق مصالح الأوليغارشية المالية إلا على حساب شعوب الدول المختلفة – بادئ ذي بدء، شعوب بلدان محيط الرأسمالية العالمية، وثانياً، شعوب بلدان "المليار الذهبي".
لقد اختفى النِّظامُ الماليُ والنَّقديُ لـ"بريتون وودز" في النَّصف الأوَّل من سبعينات القرن الماضي، وتمُّ إستبداله بنظام آخر يُسمّى عادةً بالنِّظام الجامايكيّ، ولا يزال النظامُ النقديّ والماليّ الجامايكيّ المشارُ إليه بــ(JFS) قائماً حتّى يومنا هذا، برغم تصدُعه يوماً بعدَ يوم، وقد اتضحَ ذلك جليّاً خلال الأزمة الماليّة الَّتي اجتاحت العالم بينّ عام 2007 إلى عام 2009 على وجهِ الخصوص.
لذلك فمن غير المستبعد أن تبدأ "سلسلةُ" جديدةٌ منَ الأزمات الماليّة بالتزامن مع أزمة كورونا، ذلك لأنه لمْ يختف أيّ من الأسباب الأساسيَّة المؤدّية للإختلالِ الإقتصاديّ والماليّ العالميّ.
