هذا الكتاب " علم المعاني .. دراسة وتحليل" اتعرض فيه لدراسة أحوال التراكيب التى تتعرض لأحد الفنون البلاغية التى تعالج الصور المختلفة لأحوال اللفظ العربي وكذلك احوال الجملة في اللغة العربية من تقديم وتاخير وذكر وحذف وتنكير وغيرها، بل أيضا ما يتعلق بركني الجملة الأساسيين - المبتدأ والخبر - من مكملات، كالجار والمجرور والحال والظرف ، والتمييز وغيرها ، والأثر البلاغي الكامن في التعبير بهذه المكملات، يعد علم المعاني أحد علوم البلاغة الثلاثة التى يراعي الديب أو الناظم قواعده عند الكلام ، ثم يكون عليه بعد ذلك مراعاة أن يكون الكلام واضح الدلالة على المعنى المراد من تشبيه او ماستعاره أو كناية وغيرها من المصور البلاغية التى تعد من مباحث "علم البيان" ثاني العلوم البلاغية. ثم يبقى تحسين الكلام وتنميقه وهو ما يعرف ب " علم البديع" ثالث علوم البلاغة.
