تتأثر أغلب مدارس واتجاهات الإسلامية السياسى فى عالمان العربى وعلى نحو واضح بالمذهب السنى الوهابى الذى يعتبر فى مجملة أحد أهم الأطر المرجعية للكثير من تيارات الإسلام السياسى ومنها من يستخدم العنف طريقا لغرض هيمنة ويرى أصحاب هذه التيارات بصفة عامة ان ما يقدمونه من فتاوى واجتهادات هى الحقيقة المطلقة والفهم الصحيح للدين. ومن ثم فان من يختلف معهم هو حتما كافر أو مرتد ونحن لا نجادل هؤلاء بنفس طريقتهم ولا نتهمهم بالكفر أو الردة وإنما فقط نعتبر خلافنا معهم حقا مكفول لنا ليس بمقتضى فهمها للدين فحسب. بل ايضا بمقضى مواثيق حقوق الإنسان والدساتير المدينة.
