كانت سنوات السبعينيات من القرن الماضي في مصر حقبة مليئة بالأحداث الجسام التي تراوحت بين نصر عسكري مبين ومفاوضات مغضوب عليها، وقطيعة عربية لمصر وأحداث داخلية يشيب لها الولدان نتجت عن سياسة الرئيس السادات آنذاك، وقد كانت ذروة هذه الأحداث الداخلية عام 1981 وحركة الاعتقالات التي طالت جميع التيارات والفئات وصادرت الجرائد والحريات، وهي أيام حزينة لكل من عاشها وعاصرها من الشعب المصري سواء كان مسلمًا أو مسيحيًا أو علمانيًا أو شيوعيًا أو غير ذلك.. وفي هذا الكتاب يعود بناء "روبير الفارسي" إلى الوراء، يتوقف أمام ما حدث لبعض من رجال الدين المسيحي في مصر في تلك الأيام.. ويقص كل منهم ما كان له خلف جدران السجن، كجزء من النسيج المصري الذى كان على شفا حفرة الفتنة الطائفية وويلاتها في أيام غضب السادات.
