"الهدف من هذه الصفحات، هو التعريف بما حدث في إشترامادورا لواحدة من أهم الجماعات المورسكية، ونقصد هنا سكان بلدة هورناتشوس على يد محاكم التفتيش؛ حيث سنحاول أن نخرج من النسيان أسماء الأشخاص الذين حكم عليهم بالحرق والجلد والأشغال الشاقة، الذين تم تسليمهم للحقد الشعبي، حيث كانت تهمهم هي التفكير بطريقة مختلفة، الإيمان بإله آخر، أو ببساطة التعبير عما يفكرون فيه، وهذا ما جعلهم يوصفون بالهراطقة والصعاليك والمارقين والأشرار، باختصار أشخاص لا حقوق لهم مطلقاً وعليهم الخضوع لعدالة الكنيسة.
أبطالنا رجال ونساء، عاشوا في إشترامادورا، وألصقت بهم محاكم التفتيش وعامة الشعب عار الانتماء إلى الهراطقة المورسكيين، ولهذا تمت متابعتهم من طرف ديوان التفتيش المقدس لبلدة إليرينة، الذي كانت مراسيمه تقرأ على منابر الكنائس، مع إصرار على إدانة كل ما لا يتوافق مع الكنيسة الكاثوليكية، ونهاية المدانين كانت هي الإعدام حرقاً."
