قررت طرح هذا الكتاب للطلاب المبتدئين الذين يودون التحدث باللغة الإنجليزية وبلسان أهلها، وقد أعددته ليحتوي على قدر كبير من مصطلحات الحديث اليومي باللهجة البريطانية، في القسم الأول من الكتاب أربع وعشرون محادثة مسجلة تدور في مواقف الحياة اليومية وفي كل محادثة مجموعة من المصطلحات شائعة الاستخدام في الحديث اليومي في بريطانيا واتبعت كل منها بأسئلة لقياس مدى فهم الدارس للمحادثة مع اجاباتها النموذجية، كل محادثات هذا الكتاب مسجلة (24 محادثة)، وفي القسم الثاني من هذا الكتاب قدمت عشرات التدريبات التي تحوي تعبيرات ومصطلحات لم ترد في المحادثات، وذلك مع الإجابات النموذجية وترجمة كاملة للجمل المستخدم فيها هذه المصطلحات، حتى يفهم الدارس معناها جيدًا، وفي القسم الثالث والأخير من الكتاب يجد الدارس قائمة تحتوي على عدة مئات من الجمل الكاملة التي تتكرر على ألسنة الناس في الحديث اليومي (ومنها الحكم والأمثال) حرصت على أن اختارها بعناية واستبعدت كل ما لم يعد مستخدمًا أو غير شائع، كما استبعدت ما هو غير شائع في اللهجة البريطانية، مع ترجمة كاملة لكل هذه الجمل، ثم ينتهي هذا القسم من الكتاب بقدر لا بأس به من الكلمات المفيدة في تكوين الجمل باللغة الإنجليزية مع عكس كل منها وترجمة معانيها، ويمكن للدارس أن يستفيد من هذا الكتاب بمفرده في بيته كما يمكن للمدرسين الاستفادة منه في فصولهم.
