الكتابة تحتاج إلى مرونة لغوية، وسَعة رؤى، شدة إتقان وعمق دلالي، بالإضافة إلى الحرص على بناء النص وتحوّلاته. والتعبير في النصوص مَعنِي بسيادة المعنى، سواءكان هذا بجمل قصيرة ومتعددة ، أو بشفرات لغوية قصيرة، قد تصل إلى حدّ أن يكون النص من جملتين قصيرتين كاملتين في المعنى. إنما ما كتبته في هذه المجموعة الثانية لي في جنس قصة الومضة جاء كي يُكمل ما بدأته في مجموعتي الأولى (زنزانة). ولعل البعض لا يعرف مآلات قصة الومضة ومن كتب فيها ، وهنا يمكن القول أن قصة الومضة (فنٌ مُمتع لكن ليس من السهل تأليفه) ، والتي قالها الكاتب الإنكليزي هارفيستايرو. وهذا الجنس الأدبي يجب أن تتوافر فيه وتتظافر القوة البلاغية لكي تعكس معنىً كبيرا يشمل مسحاً لظاهرة واضحة الوجود في الواقع. وعند التمعّن في قصة الومضةسنجد أن سَعة السرد فيها تقابل التكثيف والاختزال فتكون بذلك قد ابتعدت عن التقريرية لعدم وجود الفيض الزائد في الكلمات. بالإضافة إلى احتواءها على الفعل وردالفعل، وابتعادها عن الغموض واللبس. وهنالك الدهشة من خلال الاختزال والتكثيف ، وقفل النص بضربة قصصية هي روح القصة. كما أنها توفّر قناعة موضوعية وفنيةلدى المُتلقّي بموجودات النص عبر الفجوات التي يعمل الكاتب على ملئها من خلال تنشيط ذهن القارئ وبهذا يكون ذلك القارئ مُشتركا في صياغة قصة الومضة من خلالملئ الفراغات التي قد تتركها فجوات التكثيف والاختزال. وبالرغم من قلة عدد كلمات قصة الومضة إلا أنها تمتلك شمولية واضحة من خلال المضامين التي تتناولها. إن قوة قصص هذا الكتاب تتكامل مع ما تم اختياره من صور فوتوغرافية التقطتها عدسة المُصور المُبدع أحمد محمود خضير ، الذي وضع لكل ومضة تنسيقها الصوريالخاص. نصوص هذا الكتاب مثّلت القدرة على احتواء ما هو مناسبا للتعبير عن حركة وجود ذات خلل دائم.
