يطيب لنا أن نقدم بين يدي القارئ هذه الكتب لفضيلة الإمام الأكبر الشيخ جاد الحق علي جاد الحق رغبة منَّا في نشر تعاليم الإسلام, وحرصًا على إظهار العلم وعدم كتمانه. والشيخ جاد الحق -رحمه الله- يمتاز في عرض أفكاره وفتاواه بالموضوعية الشديدة والبعد عن الهوى فما من مسألة إلا ونجده قد عرض فيها كل الآراء ثم يذكر لنا الرأي الذي يرجحه ويميل إليه مع بيان سبب ذلك, وفي النهاية يترك لصاحب المسألة حرية الاختيار بين هذه الآراء ما دامت جميعها صحيحة. وإذا كان الإمام أحمد قد حدد خصالا خمسة لا بد أن يتحلى بها الفقيه وهي: أولاها: أن تكون له نية أي أن يخلص في ذلك لله تعالى ولا يقصد رياسة ولا نحوها فإن لم يكن له نية لم يكن عليه نور ولا على كلامه نور إذ الأعمال بالنيات ولكل امرئ ما نوى. الثانية: أن يكون له حلم ووقار وسكينة; وإلا لم يتمكن من فعل ما تصدى له من بيان الأحكام الشرعية. الثالثة: أن يكون قويًا على ما هو فيه وعلى معرفته وإلا فقد عرَّض نفسه لعظيم. الرابعة: الكفاية وإلا أبغضه الناس فإنه إذا لم تكن له كفاية احتاج إلى الناس وإلى الأخذ مما في أيديهم فيتضررون منه. الخامسة: معرفته بالناس, أحوالهم, طباعهم, أفكارهم, بيئاتهم وأن يكون حذرًا فطنًا لما يصورونه في سؤالاتهم.
تلك هي الشروط التي اشترطها الإمام أحمد في الفقيه وهي والحمد لله مجتمعة في الإمام جاد الحق - رحمه الله - لذا جاءت كتبه فيضًا من العلم والفقه حيث بحث فيها كل ما يشغل بال المسلم في الوقت الراهن من قضايا فقهية معاصرة كما تناول بعض الموضوعات التي تمس العقيدة وعلاقة المسلم بربه وإخوانه ومجتمعه وعلاقته بأهل الأديان الأخرى وخلافه, ونحن إذ نقدم هذه الأعمال للقارئ العزيز إنما نبتغي وجه الله تعالى ورضوانه.
