Book Description
أبو يعلى الموصلي، صاحب هذا الكتاب الإمام الحافظ، شيخ الإسلام، أبو يعلى أحمد بن علي بن المثنى بن يحيى التميمي الموصلي، محدث الموصل، وصاحب هذا المسند والمعجم، ولجد سنة 210هـ، وكانت وفاته سنة 307هـ. نشأ في أسرة مدينة ورحل في بداية عمره مع أبيه وخاله محمد بن أحمد بن أبي المثنى، فكانت رحلته إلى منابع العلم، وقد اتفق النقاد على توثيقه والثناء عليه في كونه إماماً عالماً محدثاً فاضلاً عدلاً وثقة.
ترك أبو يعلى عدة مؤلفات منها مسنده الذي بين يدي القارئ والموسوم بـ"المسند الصغير"، ولعله من أهم مصنفات الحافظ أبي يعلى بشهادة العلماء له. قال الذهبي في "سير أعلام النبلاء بعد إيراده لقول التميمي: "صدق، ولا سيما مسنده الذي عند أهل أصبهان من طريق ابن المقرئ عنه، فإنه كبير جداً، بخلاف المسند الذي رويناه من طريق أبي عمر بن حمدان عنه، فإنه مختصر".
ومن هنا يتضح أن هناك مسند كبير وآخر صغير، الأول برواية المقرئ والثاني برواية ابن حمدان وهو الذي بين يدي القارئ. ولأهمية هذا المسند تمّ إخراجه بهذه الطبعة المحققة.
حيث أغنى المحقق بالتقديم للمسند بنبذة جاءت بمثابة ترجمة للمؤلف، تحدث فيها عن سيرته، كنيته، مولوده، شيوخه، تلاميذه، أقوال العلماء فيه وأخيراً آثاره من ثم قام بالتحقق من صحة نسبه كتاب المسند للإمام أبي يعلي الموصلي، بعد ذلك تتبع مرحلة كتابة المصنفات الحديثة في عصر الإمام الموصلي (أتباع التابعين)، من ثم توقف عند مرحلة تصنيف المسانيد والمصنفات وأهم مؤلفيها، وختم الكتاب بفهرسين الأول للأحاديث والثاني للمحتويات.
