لم أعرف طعم النوم طيلة ليلة الامتحان الأول في اللغة العربية والدين.. تقلبت في سريري طوال الليل، لا أعرف ما الذي سيحدث لي غدًا.. كيف سأواجه والدي لو لم أحصل على درجة جيدة تناسب حجم المجهود الذي بذلته وبذلاه.. أزحت غطائي عني وقمت من فراشي مع صوت آذان الفجر ومؤذنه أجش الصوت، ملأ قلبي رعبًا بدلًا من الطمأنينة التي يهبها الآذان عادة. خاصة وقت الفجر بسكينته، وتواضع المخلوقات جميعًا أمام الليل وظلمته. قمت فاغتسلت وصليت الفجر مع جدي جماعة، شعرت وقتها بالأمان يسري في قلبي الصغير، جلست بجانب جدي وهو يدعو لي، وأنا أؤمن بعده. كأنني ألوذ به وأحتمي من مخاوفي.
