لدي انطباع، أتمنى من قلبي أن يكون مخطئًا وظالمًا، وهو أن "الصادق" يجد صعوبة شديدة في قبول النقد، وممارسة النقد الذاتي بطريقة موضوعية شجاعة.
إذ لا يناقش "الإمام"- في كثير من الأحيان- آراء من يخالفونه بطريقة مباشرة أو بشخصه، وهنا يتراجع المفكر الحر ويتقدم شيخ الطائفة حين يترك مهام الرد للأسرة والحواريين. وبالتالي يتم تغييب الطرف الآخر المحاور كند على الأقل فكريًا وبشريًا فقط، ويصبح الحوار مبتورًا ومن جانب واحد أقرب إلى المونولوج منه إلى الديالوج الذي يتطلب طرفين. وهذا عيب فظيع، ونقص معيب تجاه الآخر، فيمن يقدم نفسه كمفكر، إلا إذا أراد أن يكون المفكر المعصوم، لأن عملية إنتاج الأفكار لا بد أن تكون عرضة للأخطاء والقصور، وهذا يفسر ميله إلى طريقة البيانات والبلاغات، وهو أسلوب يختلف عن الحوار.
