نظراً لما لكتاب "رياض الصالحين" من أهمية لما يمثله من زاد يعين المسلم على الارتشاف من نبع السنة صافياً. لأنه جمع ما يحتاج إليه السالك في سائر الأحوال، واشتمل على ما ينبغي التخلق به من الأخلاق، والتمسك به من الأقوال والأفعال، بما اغترفه الإمام النووي له من عباب الكتاب والسنة النبوية، نظراً لذلك قام مجموعة من المحققين بالاعتناء به حيث قاموا بشرح الكتاب مراعين الأمور التالية:
أولاً: تخريج الآيات الكريمة التي التي أوردها الإمام النووي في أول كل باب، وشرح مفرداتها اللغوية، ثانياً ذكر عقب كل حديث المرجع والمصدر من الكتاب والباب، من كتب السنة التي ورد فيها الحديث، وذلك لمساعدة الدارس على الرجوع إلى المراجع وأمهات كتب الحديث ليقف على أسانيد الحديث وما يتعلق به. ثالثاً: إفراد شرح المفردات اللغوية لكل حديث بعد تخريد الحديث مباشرة مع إعراب بعض الكلمات التي يحتاج إليها الدارس لتوضيح المعنى المراد وبعض الأحيان ذكر بعض الأشخاص المبهمين في متن الحديث. رابعاً: جمع الفوائد التي تضمنها الحديث وربطها بواقع الحياة، مع بيان الأحكام المستنبطة منه بأسلوب سهل ليقف القارئ على فوائد الحديث. خامساً: جمع تراجم الرواة ضمن قسم مستقل في آخر الكتاب مرتبة حسب حروف المعجم. سادساً: وضع فهرس للكتاب بأوائل الأحاديث لتسهيل الرجوع إلى الحديث في موضعه من الكتاب.
